I continued to take classes here after entering junior high school. It was a good decision because I came to like English more!

I want to be an interpreter, so I want to visit or work in many other countries and use my English.

If you want to communicate with foreigners, I think you should study and enjoy English at SES. 

私は中学３年生です。小学校１年生の時にSESに入りました。

中学に入っても続けています。これは良い決断でした。なぜなら、もっと英語が好きになってきたからです。

私は、将来通訳になり、いろいろな国を訪ね、英語を使って仕事をしたいと思っています。

Some time ago I stayed with a family in Seattle for two weeks. This made me want to study hard.

Recently, I’ve been enjoying cultural exchange and communication with foreigners. I am now enjoying English classes.

私は海外旅行が好きでいろいろなことについて外国人と英語でお話をしたかった。しかしながら私はあまり勉強しなかったので、とても難しいと思った。このような怠け者の生徒にも熱心に教えてくださるので申し訳ないと思っている。私は英語を話せるようになることを諦めた。数年前2週間シアトルにホームステイした。この機会が私に進んで勉強させてくれたたが続かなかった。最近私は外国人と文化の交流や会話を今のクラスで楽しんでいる。

It has been 10 years since we started studying English Coversation at SES. It's difficult for me to make progress easily because of my lazy personality, but I still enjoy it.

Until now we have studied English with 4 teachers. Every teacher was unique. They taught us happily and kindly and we were delighted to come to class each weak. I'm sorry that they have lazy students like us!

However our English has gotten better, slowly but surely, and it's great to study English with my friends!

I enjoy it because we study English in so many different ways!

Studying English is difficult however this experience is useful in many situations. The Halloween and Christmas parties are also a lot of fun for everyone.

僕は今、中学生です。このクラスに参加したのは小学1年生の時です。姉が入っていたので、僕も入ろうと決めました。
僕はこのクラスを楽しんでいます。いろいろな方法で英語を勉強できるからです。
英語を学ぶのは難しいですが、この経験はいろいろな場面で役に立つだろうと思います。
ここでのハロウィーンやクリスマス・パーティーはとても楽しくて、みんなが楽しんでいます。

I have been studying English since ten years ago and have learned many new things.

It is still very difficult for me to listen to and understand English because I don’t have enough to study at home. I’m not very good at English but I like English.

I want to study a foreign language every day.

Even though it is difficult for me to improve my English I want to continue learning it.

私は2009年にSES入りました。理由は英語を勉強する事は面白いそうからです。クラスが面白いから英語が好きです。カードゲーム、パソコンを使うこと、それに英語を聞く事のが好きです。将来どうやって英語を使うか分からない、でも英語を勉強したいです。

I joined this school about two years ago. At that time, I was depressed and had a difficult time every day. One of my friends who worry about me gave me some advice. She said, "You should do something that you like." After thinking about it, I decided to study English again since it had been my favorite subject since my youth. My English is developing. Fortunately, I have good teachers and classmates. Now, I am healthy, physically and psychologically. The best thing for me might be that I can listen to real English.

私がこのスクールに通い始めたのは、およそ2年前のことでした。その頃、私は精神的に落ち込んでおり、苦しい毎日でしたが、それを見かねた友人が「何か好きなことをやった方がいいよ」とアドバイスをくれたのです。考えたすえ、私は若いころから好きだった英語をやろうと思ったのです。上達はまだまだですが、お陰様でクラスメートや先生方にも恵まれ、今では心身ともに元気になりました。何よりも生の英語にふれられることが楽しいのかもしれません。

I started at SES when I was 8 years old. I was interested in English. In Elementary school I played lots of games and it was fun!

I didn’t understand English at first, but through various games I began to understand it.

I decided to continue at SES as a junior high school student too. I think it was a really good decision because this class is very helpful!

私はこのスクールに８才の時に入りました。私は英語に興味がありました。小学校の時は、たくさんゲームをしました。それはとても面白かった。
最初は、英語が全然わかりませんでしたが、たくさんのゲームをしていくうちにだんだんと理解できるようになりました。

中学になってもクラスを続けることに決めました。この決断はよかったと思っています。なぜなら、中学でもこのクラスでやっていることはとても役に立っているからです。

I've learned English at SES for a long time. I got familiar with English from native English teachers at a private elementary school. However, I couldn't enjoy learning English because of the English education aimed at passing examinations in junior high and high school. On the other hand, learning English as an adult is fun! It's a just a communication tool for me to interact with people from other countries. Saying what I want to say and making myself understood and understanding the other person is enjoyable. I have no personal ambition such as to gain a certification of English. I would like to join this school as long as possible to have chances to listen and use real English. Let’s enjoy English at our own pace!

SESで勉強して、年数ではずいぶん長くなりました。
私立の小学校で、ネイティブの先生の英語の時間があり、長年英語に親しんできたものの、中・高では受験のための詰め込み英語に苦しみ、楽しく勉強できなくなってしまっていました。
大人になってからの勉強は、「外国の方々と交流し、言いたいことを話す、伝える」コミニケーション・ツールとしての英会話が基本ですので、とても楽しいです。これから何かの資格を取るなどの野望（？）は一切ないので、「聞く、話す」チャンスをなくさないようにできる限り、ここで学ばせていただこうと思っています。
マイペースで楽しみましょう！！

I started classes at SES about six months ago, because I wasn’t good at English. I wanted to understand English better, so I started taking classes here.  I like English because it gives you the opportunity to speak with foreigners. I enjoy talking in class.  I like to talk about my high school. In the future I would like to enjoy talking with everyone in English.
Taking classes here has been a good experience for me, because we only use English in class.  I didn’t understand English very well at school, so I didn’t enjoy English classes before coming here. Now I enjoy talking and writing in English.  My class here has helped me in my high school English class.  Now, I understand English more, both at school and here.

私が「英語にたくさん触れたいと」と思ったのは、スロ－ン先生の教室に通ってからもっと強くなった気がします。英語は世界で使われている共通の言葉です。
これからは、日本語だけでは生きていけません。
そのためにも、本場の英語を肌で感じるのは大切なことだと思います。
発音や、文化に触れるのは楽しいこと、自分の力になります。
私も「英語にたくさん触れたい」と思ったように、皆さんもそう思うでしょう。
英語を自分のものにできますように...

こんな田舎にアメリカ人の先生が居て、世の中変わったなとつくづく思った。あと、インタネットでブラジル人やフリピン人と話すことができて楽しく変な気持ちになりました
